Today was my first day running in my Vibram KSOs. More significant, this was my first experience “barefooting.” Barefooting is participating in athletic activities with either no shoes, or footwear that closely mimics going barefoot.
For my first run I barely covered a quarter mile. I could tell I was working muscles in my feet and calves that I don’t normally use. It was a good feeling, but I also sensed I would quickly fatigue to the point of injury if I went much farther. So, my plan is to take it slow. I look forward to sharing more of my experiences here in the days and weeks to come.
